In August 2020 my 23 year old cob was diagnosed with annular ligament damage. The vet informed me that surgery was the best option for him to return to soundness and also recommended lengthy box rest. I didn’t want to put Mac through surgery at his age and knew he’d hate box rest – he has arthritis in his front feet and benefits from turn out.
