World Mental Health Day 2024
Each year on October 10th, World Mental Health Day focuses on key challenges affecting global mental health. For 2024, the theme, “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace,” underscores the urgent need to address burnout in modern work environments.
Burnout, caused by prolonged stress, can significantly impact both personal well-being and organisational health. It affects not just individual employees, but leads to decreased productivity, higher staff turnover, and low team morale. Employers and managers must take proactive steps to create supportive, healthy work environments by recognising the early signs of burnout and encouraging open conversations about mental health.
Addressing workplace mental health can include offering resources such as counselling services, promoting a better work-life balance, and implementing stress-relief initiatives. When mental health is prioritised, employees feel more engaged and motivated, leading to a more productive and resilient workforce. By fostering an environment where mental well-being is valued, businesses can see long-term benefits, creating spaces where both individuals and teams can flourish.
Promoting workplace mental health is not only beneficial for employees but also helps companies cultivate a more positive, cohesive, and high-performing culture. Whilst we have not conducted any clinical studies on the Arc4Health in relation to specific mental health conditions, one lady recently shared her story and how she believe the Arc4Health has helped her daughter;
“My daughter suffers from depression and neither therapy nor medication was doing much for her. I am a Mental Health Nursing student and read some research suggesting there is a link between brain inflammation and depression. She has been wearing the Arc4Health for 5 weeks now. She noticed an improvement on her mood after 10 days, which has continued progressing and also helped her with migraines. I am impressed and couldn’t be happier with the results.”
