I was told that most wrist movement should return but will take 12 weeks post-surgery and could be limited. The kidney trauma would likely take 6 months to heal – no treatment after initial extended course of antibiotics.
Full range of movement in broken (plated wrist) has returned. Full use of thumb following the tendon transfer and kidney is fully healed in 5 months as opposed to the 8 to 12 months the consultant suggested.
I recommend it to everyone; my friend is currently hiring one for her horse who has a tendon injury and her dog who has a pelvis injury.
