I first heard of the Arc4Health and microcurrent therapy in the late summer of 2024 when I was applying for a role within the company.

I was intrigued by the science but, on a much more personal level, I wanted to see if it worked!

I had injured and repeatedly re-injured my knee over the course of 38 years, had undergone multiple reconstructions and was in constant pain. In the spring of 2024, before I even heard of the Arc4Health, I had started looking into the possibility of having knee replacement surgery.

When I became aware of ARC Microtech and microcurrent therapy in the late summer of 2024, I immediately purchased an Arc4Health and was taken on as an employee several weeks later. Since then, I have worn my ARC daily, often running more than one three-hour programme a day.

Within three months of using the Arc4Health, during which time it helped immensely to manage the pain I experienced, I received a date for my knee replacement surgery.

In mid-January of this year I underwent a total knee replacement. I cannot overemphasise the role that the Arc4Health has played in my recovery and return to work.

The morning after surgery I put my ARC on and wore it, except when it was charging, for the next three weeks. The thing that I had feared most going into surgery was the agony I was sure was inevitable after such an invasive and gruelling operation. The pain I had dreaded simply was not an issue at all.

I had a week off work, a week working from home and then I returned to the office, doing my full hours, and have never looked back!

The surgeon commented at 6 weeks on my “beautifully healed [external] scar!” but warned me that because of all the damage to my knee over so many years and the fact that a total, rather than a partial, knee replacement had been required, there would scar tissue within the knee that could make it difficult to regain my full range of motion.

I have worked VERY HARD and done absolutely everything that has been set for me in rehab but I cannot overestimate the role of the Arc4Health in breaking down scar tissue and promoting tissue repair during my recovery.

Within seven weeks I was back playing badminton and within three months I was swimming lengths, riding my bike on the road and increasing the length of my rides. I am now within a few degrees of the range of motion I had before surgery!
