ARC Rental Subscription – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental subscription service for the ArcEquine/Arc4Health device (“Device”) provided by ARC MICROTECH LTD (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By subscribing to the ArcEquine/Arc4Health rental service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Rental Service

The ArcEquine/Arc4Health rental service provides customers with use of an ArcEquine/Arc4Health device for a recurring subscription fee.

The Device and kit provided remains the property of the Company at all times.

Your subscription includes:

  • Use of the ArcEquine/Arc4Health device, charger and accessories
  • Ongoing subscription billing
  • Customer support

The Device must not be sold, transferred, sub-rented, or otherwise disposed of by the customer.

3. Subscription and Payment

Your rental operates as a recurring subscription.

By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method through Stripe automatically.

Billing details:

  • Billing cycle: Weekly (after initial 8 week period)
  • Subscription price: £165 upfront payment, then £15 per billing cycle
  • Payments are charged automatically until cancellation.

If payment fails we may:

  • retry payment,
  • suspend service,
  • or request return of the Device.
  • if payment fails we will raise a weekly invoice for the subscription price, and failure to either return the rental or settle the invoice(s) will result in debt collect proceedings.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days notice.

4. Minimum Rental Period

The minimum rental period is 8 weeks from the date the Device is delivered. If you cancel before the minimum period ends, no refund or partial refund of the upfront rental fee will be issued.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Devices will be shipped to the address provided during checkout. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary. Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery details are correct.

Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Device only as instructed.
  • Keep the Device in good working condition.
  • Not modify, open, repair, or tamper with the Device.
  • Notify us immediately if the Device is damaged, lost, or stolen.
  • Not sell, transfer, sub-rent, or otherwise dispose of the Device.
  • Keep all personal and bank details updated

The ArcEquine Device must be used only for equine therapy purposes. The Arc4Health Device must be used only for human therapy purposes.

7. Damage, Loss, or Non-Return

You are responsible for the Device while it is in your possession.

If the Device is:

  • lost
  • stolen
  • damaged
  • not returned after cancellation

we may charge the replacement value of the Device (£280) to your payment method.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription by contacting support or through your customer account.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, provided the minimum rental period has passed.

Upon cancellation:

  1. We will issue return instructions.
  2. The Device must be returned within 5 working days.

If the Device is not returned within this period, additional charges may apply.

9. Returns

Customers must return the Device:

  • in reasonable condition
  • with all accessories included.

Return shipping instructions will be provided upon cancellation. We recommend using tracked shipping.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK law, including your rights under the:

  • Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

You may have a 14-day cooling-off period from delivery during which you may cancel your subscription and return the unused Device.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the previous 12 months.

Nothing limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Medical Disclaimer

The ArcEquine device is intended for equine therapy support only. It is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical concerns.

The Arc4Health device is intended for human therapy support only. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified practioner for medical concerns.

13. Privacy

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment data is securely processed by Stripe and we do not store full card details.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will provide notice via email or our website.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Rental service only available to customers with a UK billing and shipping address.
