My daughter’s pony is a little bit accident prone. Having come back from a few injuries he was finally going well again when he developed a small ligament swelling. We had it checked out by the vet and we agreed he just needed one further week off at that point. Unfortunately by the following week he appeared lame in all four legs! Getting our vet back out we had him scanned and nothing showed up. It was a mystery. We did 3 Cartrofen injections to ease the inflammation and got the Arc on him daily. After 8 weeks the vet could not believe his progress and stated that the improvement he was showing could not be down to the Cartrofen alone. We now ensure that we maintain use of the Arc and find he responds really well to regular use of it. The lameness was never diagnosed but as he is 18yrs old it is probably wear and tear in the joints and as such is an ongoing problem. I will keep using the Arc on him so that he is able to work comfortably for as long as possible – he is a naughty pony when he is not in work!
