An injury to coffin joint was suspected to have been caused by another mare standing on the horse. Vets prognosis was that the coffin joint was so badly severed he recommended that we put the mare to sleep.

The wound was kept clean and started to use ArcEquine to help accelerate the healing of the coffin joint wound – within 3 days saw a massive improvement in the wound, which continued to astound the vet.

7 weeks post severed coffin joint – managed to get a half a heart bar shoe on and mare is almost sound after the severed coffin joint injury, very pottery but improving daily.

Update: Mare is now sound and back with the mare herd in the field.
