Breed: WBXTB

Biddy is a 12 year old WB x TB who is rather difficult at times, particularly when off work. She went lame in November, when the vet came she felt she was lame in both front legs. The left worse than right, we differed as I felt the right was worse!

I bought the Arc right at the beginning of this journey and she has worn it almost everyday until now. I am continuing with it until we are completely out of the other side of the rehab!

She had her MRI in December. It showed mild to moderate navicular with some roughened areas of both DDFT’s right worse than the left. 1/10th in the left fore, 2/10ths in the right, she was however rather naughty on the lunge. She had restricted exercise from November until February. ARC every afternoon, we have followed Ian’s advice with programming. So we are now on programme 3 and have been for sometime. She went back to the vets at the beginning of February and they said if they were being really picky 1/10th in the right fore (she was rather wild on the lunge!). We started our walking about 10 days later on the 15th February as we had a holiday booked and I didn’t want to start walking twice!

In those 10 days she did begin hand walking. I have built up the walking, slowly. Ian emailed me to say the ARC comes into its own during rehab – I would wholeheartedly agree. 2 weeks in she still felt a little off on the right fore, last week vet came and agin and stated she was sound on the concrete!!!!! Sound on the left rein on the lunge and yet again a hooligan to lunge on the right rein so difficult to tell!!! So I am able to start trotting, for which I am eternally grateful. So far so good.

I am positive that the ARC has had a huge effect on her recovery and rehab, I am thrilled I bought it when I did.
