Derek came in with nasty wound under his elbow, the vet stitched both internal and external and advised to wash twice a day in salt water and apply flamazine. He had a penicillin jab for 5 days and was advised to keep him on box rest.
10 days later Derek’s wound exploded and burst the external stitches, the vet was called again but they suggested leaving the wound open and carrying on the same treatment other than he could be hand grazed and he was put on a 10 day course of antibiotics and bute.
Derek’s owners started using the ArcEquine on a daily basis to help accelerate the healing of the wound.
The wound noticeably started to heal in the first week. Within 5 weeks the wound was hardly noticeable.
Once the ArcEquine’s 6 weeks treatment for the wound had finished the ArcEquine is used once a month just for maintenance.
