He damaged his near fore suspensory ligament in 2008, which was treated with box rest, shockwave therapy and cold compression boots. After a prolonged rest and lengthy period of slow work, he was sound but the leg was definitely fragile. In the summer of 2013, he went severely lame and a scan showed the near fore suspensory ligament was very seriously damaged with a hole right through it. Vets prognosis for the near fore suspensory ligament was that he would be fit for a gentle hack, at best!

He started using ArcEquine on a daily basis, every evening. He also had a weekly water treadmill treatment.

Subsequent scans showed remarkable improvement in the near fore suspensory ligaments with his gradual return to soundness and full work. He even went on to win a Grand Prix.
