Breed: Belgian warmblood
My mare Squirrel went lame in August 2014 and was diagnosed some weeks later with a tear to the deep digital flexor tendon in her foot. My vets urged me to let them operate to debride the tendon and were pessimistic about her chances.
I didn’t want to risk losing her under the anaesthetic as wasn’t convinced about the benefits of the surgery so just had her on box rest with in-hand walking. I researched the ArcEquine and found no one had a bad word to say about it so bought one and used it every day, religiously. Ian was so helpful with advice and support throughout.
When her second MRI showed the tendon had healed, my vet was “gobsmacked”. Another vet told me that of all the DDFT injuries they’d seen, the only two to have healed by the second scan had used the Arc. I recommend it to anyone, I lent it to a friend who had a badly broken leg and her doctors said it had healed better than expected. Squirrel is now jumping again, and I plan to re-affiliate her this spring.
Thank you, Ian, it’s all down to the ArcEquine
