A much loved advanced event horse, Pirate, broke his neck in the pasture in January 2013. X-rays showed a significant crack in the vertebrae, dangerously close to the spinal cord. The best outcome was that he would become a pasture pet.

A horse like Pirate can’t just live his life in a field – he lives for his job – it would break his heart. Francis Whittington refused to let me lose hope and told me to try the ArcEquine unit. I had nothing to lose so started to put the ArcEquine on overnight for his cracked vertebrae…and then something remarkable started to happen, and very quickly.

Pirate went from very uncomfortable and barely able to move, to walking around almost normally. Pain, inflammation, and neurological symptoms almost vanished.

Throughout the months, continuing to wear the ArcEquine daily, Pirate’s cracked vertebrae improved.

By March, he was sound. By May, he had gotten rather bored, and periodically “escaped”.

In July X-rays showed a beautifully healed vertebrae with no impingement on the spinal canal.

I will continue to use the ArcEquine as a part of our program to ensure Pirate’s comfort and well-being – while he comes back into full work.
