I had a mission of mercy this weekend! My elderly neighbour phoned in agony on Friday and was concerned because the doctor’s surgery didn’t seem to be able to do anything for her. A brief history is that 2 years go she started with pain in her legs, but after 2 years the doctors couldn’t seem to diagnose the root cause. Eventually, having visited a consultant, she was diagnosed with problems relating to her hip, but due to her age (late 80’s) and other medical complaints they said they were unable to operate.<\/p>\n
She now has pain in both hips and can barely walk, even with the help of a Zimmer frame, and now has to have a wheelchair and has to spend most of the day sitting in a chair. On Friday, every tiny step she took was agony, but she is already prescribed the strongest painkillers possible and she felt her situation was hopeless. I went round and strapped my Arc on her leg. When I went back to collect the machine she said she did feel better. After a session on Saturday, she has the best nights sleep she’s had for 2 years and by this afternoon (Sunday) she’s up and walking again on her zimmer frame!<\/p>\n
I think you’d be hard pushed to find another machine that can work so quickly! I’m just so pleased that my Arc has been able to help out a lovely lady who joked with me that she wished she was a horse so the vet could put her down. It won’t cure her hip degeneration, but at least her pain can be managed, allowing her to get up and about and so offering her a more comfortable life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
